Fat is not to blame for low grade inflammation – insulin is

insulin causing low grade inflammation

An army MARCHES on it’s stomach. Insulin makes sure, the body’s army is fueled up and ready for battle, but when you’re insulin resistant, the battle never stops.

Eating is risky business………………

Those bites you take, could be accompanied by “germs”.   If one or more of these little critters, takes hold, you are in trouble…………………. SERIOUS trouble.

So Mother Nature has made a plan.

Defending the gut

Step 1, she dips them in an acid bath.  OUCH !  Only the tough, survive this.  Assuming the acid bath is functional, it isn’t if you’re taking anti-acid meds.

Step 2, she alerts the immune system, that a parcel of food, is on it’s way.  And then……………. she gives all of the soldiers called to duty, a bite to eat.

Because…………….an army MARCHES on it’s stomach.

This is what researchers from Switzerland have recently pieced together.

It’s a  perfect system……………… when it works.  But, when it doesn’t – it might be the thing that is making you sick.

Alerting the troops

Begins with a squirt of insulin…………………

The principle trigger for insulin release from the pancreas, is an increase in blood sugar levels.    The insulin, that is released get’s to work, putting away the groceries.

Insulin’s focus is move the sugar into the power consumers……… muscles cells,  liver cells and fat cells.  Getting them to take up the sugar, means sugar level quickly drop down to acceptable i.e. safe, levels.

But, these are not the only cells influenced by insulin.

Macrophages called for duty

Macrophages, are the tribe of cells, tasked with defense and clean up.  Those that have been assigned to fight the “bad” guys,  M1 macrophages, also get a visit from  insulin.

When he knocks on the door, they respond INSTANTLY.

Unlike muscle, fat and liver cells, which can be quite unwelcoming to the calls of insulin, macrophages are not INSULIN RESISTANT.  In fact, his arrival is VERY EXCITING.  The cells know, it’s time to go to work……………………

And they LOVE IT.

Fighting fires is their job description

Fighting fires is what they live for.

As  soon as they let insulin in, he get’s to work, delivering sugar.  The sugar fires up the engines inside the little macrophages, so they are supercharged and BUZZING, with reactive oxygen species.

This releases the INFLAMMASOME………………..which precipitates the production and release of a veritable collection of weapons.  Among them, interleukin 1 beta (IL-1?).

And then it’s time FOR BUSINESS.

Going into battle

The macrophages start doing battle, against microbial critters that have hitched a ride on your dinner.  As long as they’re getting fueled with sugar and being motivated by insulin, fighting talk is happening.

Now they enjoy fighting talk……………

So, they help the pancreas produce insulin.

More insulin

It turns out,  beta cells are sensitive to interleukin 1 beta.   When this pro-inflammatory cytokine, gives them a poke, they respond by churning out, more insulin.

With more insulin floating about,  the sugar is quickly disposed of.

Back to normal

When there is no more sugar………………………. insulin production slows.  And the army goes back to being on stand by.

Fighting talk, ceases, until…………………….the next meal.

Well this is how it is supposed to work.  But, when you’re insulin resistant, the off switch for insulin is defective.

Insulin is high, MORNING, NOON and NIGHT (hyperinsulinemia).

So………………………fighting talk NEVER CEASES.

Low grade inflammation

Your immune system is fighting all the time – you’re effectively at war with yourself.  Skirmishes happen in blood vessels, in joints, in the gut etc.  leaving you with health troubles.

To create BETTER BODY CHEMISTRY, you need to stop the fighting talk, but you don’t want to bench the immune system, it’s a delicate balance.

You need to put out the fire.

This research suggests, the place to start, is to REIN IN INSULIN.  For tips & strategies that will get you started, download our free report, which will introduce you to the CANDY FLOSS system.

The story of diabetes is always written like this…. you put on weight, become insulin resistant, then eventually diabetic. But, this diabetes timeline is WRONG.
